■" 1 Ift ASSOCIATIONS FORMED. PRINCIPLES OF CO-OPERATION. (Bv Tele urn pli—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Saturday. The Commissioner of Rural Credits (Mr J. W. McDonald) states that full advantage is being taken by farmers, particularly in the North Island, of t!ie opportunity afforded by the Rural Intermediate Credit Act of last session for the application to rural finance of tlie principles of co-operation. As a result 14 Co-operative Rural Intermediate Credit Associations have been formed, nine of which have been registered, and in the majority of cases are already obtaining loans from the board for their members in Increasing numbers.
The Commissioner has received information that steps are being taken for the formation of further associations in the North and South Islands.
