Mack, of Cambridge, has returned home after Ave weeks in the Bay of Islands. * * * * Mrs H. C. Tod, of Cambridge, is at present in Christchurch. Miss Empson, who has been spending a holiday in Whanghrni, has returned to her home in Te Awamutu'. Mrs J; Lethbridge, of Te Awamutu, has been visiting Auckland. * * » * Mrs F. Dempsey, of Gisborne, is visiting Hamilton, and is the guest of her daughter, Mrs A. Palerson, Claudelands. * * * • The engagement is announced of Th'clma Winnifrcd, eldesi daughter of Mr and Mrs 11. Cave, of Frankton Junction, to Nelson Frederick, eldest son of Mr and Mrs W. F. Billings, of Pokeno. * • • • The Claudelands Anglican Ladies' Guild are holding a bridge and Ave hundred afternoon on Thursday, August 2, in the Claudelands Parish Hall. All intending player? are asked to said their names to Miss A. Moore, 81 Oliver Road. * * * * An excellent entertainment is being arranged for July 31 in St. Peter's Hall by Mrs Barnett, Mrs Kaber Harrison and Mrs Stevens. Mrs Barnett is making herself responsible for the musical part of the programme, when she will be assisted by some "of our outstanding artists. Mrs F. M. Stevens' clever (prize) play, "Two Sides of a Question," is being produced by Mrs Kaber Harrison, assisted by Mrs Bullock and Miss Gordon.
