FIRE BRIGADE DANCE.
AT MATAMATA. The Fire Brigade dance, held at the Town Hall, Matamata on Thursday, was a most successful function, financially and otherwise. Good music was supplied by Holland's orchestra, and extras were contributed by Misses Ansford, Devey, and Whitworth. Firemen Hastie and Devey carried out the duties of M.'sC, assisted by other members of the brigade. A number of visiting friends from Putaruru and elsewhere were present. A "Lucky Spot" waltzing competition was won by Miss Whitworth and Mr Pennell.
