NAVAL ESTIMATES.
WILL THEY BE REDUCED? EFFECT OF KELLOGG PACTS. (By Telegraph—Press Assn.; —Copyright.) (Australian Press Assn. —United Service.) ' LONDON, July 25. In the House of Commons Sir R. F. Thomas (Liberal, Anglesey) inquired what reductions were proposed in the Navy Estimates as the result of the Kellogg pact. The First Lord (Mr W. C. Bridgeman said the Admiralty had begun to consider the next Estimates, but it would be most unusual to announce in advance what the Admiralty was likely to do. The pact diet not affect the national right to provide for self-defence. It was on that basis that Cabinet was finally guided in fixing the Navy Estimates.
