TE AROHA CLUB. THE ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Te Aroha Bowling Club took .place on Thursday evening. There was a record attendance of members. The president, Mr 11. Wo-od, stated that the past season had been one ol' the most successful in the history of the club, due, to a large extent, to the daylight saving. Some 12 inter-club matches were played—eight wins and four losses. In Kriskovitch the club possesses the champion of champions single player of the Goldfields Centre, lie is to be congratulated upon such a tine performance. In the annual tournament 32 teams competed. Matamata scored highest honours, -while Te Aroha won the pairs toruney, 16 pairs taking part. The ladies supplied afternoon tea, which meant a big saving to the club, and was much appreciated. Referring to finances, the speaker said that the -season’s operations started £8 in debt, and concluded with a credit of £25 10s fid. The membership of the club 'is 102. Thanks were due to the Tourist Agent, Mr Christensen, for the courteous manner in which he had met the club. The treasurer, Mr G. Hedge, read a statement showing that subscriptions totalled £62 3s Gd, entries £ll7, levies, inter-club match, £24 its, and sundries made a total £231 4s. On the debit side, the cost of refreshments was sh-own at £9O 7s 9d, hire of greens £22 53 10(1.
