SIR DAVID YULE’S FORTUNE. LIVED SECLUDED LIFE. (British Official Wirt less.) RUGBY, July 4. The fortune left by the East India merchant, Sir David Yule, who died yesterday, is variously estimated at from £10,000,000 to £20,000,000. it was built up in his business in the East. lie lived for the greater part of his life in Calcutta, and most of the substantial possessions in India controlled by his Arm were established by him. During the war lie offered to use the whole of his jute mills for making sandbags for the trenches. Sir David lived a secluded life both in Calcutta and in Loudon. He was a generous benefactor, iris gifts sometimes amounting in single donations io £50,000. They were, however, invariably made anonymously.
