By an order of the British Treasury radium compounds are to be excluded until the end ol' Hie year from (he provisions of the Safeguarding- of industries Act. This means that the •'Hi I-.‘i per cent, duty which has to be paid on imported radium has been removed. The decision follows quickly on a statement, by Dr. Graham DitlJe, .M.H., that owing to the tax hospitals were required lo pay ‘-fabulous prices” for their radium. BOWLERS’ SMOKE CONCERT.
