Coming Waikato Winter Show
No better opportunity could be offered to the young men of the Dominion to gain a broad knowledge of dairying and agricultural pursuits than that of the Waikato Winter Show of 1928. The wide range of exhibits, the many features which plainly display the work of farm and factory, and the modern devices that have made dairying and agriculture scientific professions instead of haphazard businesses, will enable them and other visitors to see for themselves the great advance that has been made in this, the most important industry of the Dominion. The Waikato Winter Show of 1928 will be an excellent school for those who wish to learn something about the profession of farming, and it will provide a strong incentive to visitors, whose thoughts are turned in the direction of agricultural pursuits, to embark in them. There are to-day in all parts of New Zealand many young men whose minds are vacillating between city life and life on the farm. A visit to this year’s Waikato Show will help them to a decision; and if the young man is sincere, and if his mind is sufficiently mature for him to comprehend the many advantages of country over cpity life, he will not be long in deciding which course to follow. , The Show will hold out many inducements to the visitor, who will find its practical instruction fortified by vital, concrete exhibits which cannot fail to impress.
