Mr P. J- Amodeo, of Christchurch, who has been visiting Hamilton left for the South by last' night’s limited.
The guests at the Empire Hotel include Messrs V. Tlosking, A. Maxwell, and Miss L. Collins (Auckland), Mrs J. F. Vixon, and Mr J. Atkinson, (Wellington).
The Hon. J. A. Young, Minister of Health, is to arrive in Hamilton by the limited to-morrow morning. He will attend the Winter Show in the afternoon.
Mr W. Grounds, chairman of the Dairy Produce Board, is expected to visit" Hamilton on Wednesday, and will proceed to the South Island later in the week.
A slight improvement has occurred in the condition of the Chief ■ Justice, Sir Charles Skerrett, says a Wellington telegram.
The German Geographical Society has bestowed the Nachtigall gold medal upon Sir Douglas Mawson in recognition of his exploration in the Antarctic.
