THE BOY SCOUTS.
CLAUDELANDS TROOP. MEETING OF THE COMMITTEE. The monthly meeting of the Claudelands Scout Committee was held last evening, Mr J. H. Whitton presiding. Scoutmaster Rich in his report stated that the roll number was 53 Scouts and officers. Nine boys had passed the second class tests during the month, and three hoys had passed their Swimmer's Badge. ,A Scout Library had been established containing a good collection of scouting books for the use of the boys. Examiners were appointed to test candidates for several proficiency badges. The committee is anxious to provide the Troop with a Scout hut and a subcommittee has this matter in hand. The scoutmaster stressed the need of a Wolf Cub Pack for boys between eight and ten years, and the committee decided that if suitable arrangements could be made for a Cubmaster >r Cubmistress and a meeting place, the Pack would be established in the near future. A large number of badges won by the Scouts will be presented on Friday evening. The presentation will be open to parents and friends.
