How Southland water can ruin iron pipes was shown to members of the Southland Hospital Board the other day. when the secretary passed round for inspection <two pipes taken from the hot water system at Kew Hospital (reports the Southland Times). The pipes were almost choked with rust, the hole (hat was once three-quarters of an inch in diameter being too small to admit a pencil. “There is only one thing to do —use copper pipes,” remarked a member.
