RE-UNITED
FATHER AND SON.
MR. WEST'S QUEST SUCCESSFUL. HIS BOY LOCATED.
(By Telegraph —Press Assn.—Copyright* (Australian Prer.s Association.) MELBOURNE, May 21. Mr Andrew West, aged 70, who left New Zealand for Australia last week to resume his nine years' search for his son Perclval, has received information from Mr. George Emery, of the Grand Hotel Mornington, that his son Perclval West had been employed by him for the past seven years, and father and son have been reunited.
According to a message fron Morrinsville it would appear that th& story anent the reunion of faCher and son is a little premature as Mr Andrew West the father only sailed from Auckland to-day for Sydney. His son Perclval, as stated last week was in Australia when the war broke out and joined one of the first Australian regiments sent to the front. Although three times wounded, he continued "in activ3 service right through the war. When peace was declared Mr West was suffering from the effects of his third wound and was shipped back, and on arrival was sent into hospital at Adelaide. From there he last wrote to his people and there had since been no trace of him.
