"YOUR LICENSE, PLEASE."

TRAFFIC INSPECTOR'S TRAP. ON TRAFFIC BRIDGE. r* A trap set on the town side of the Hamilton Traffic Rridge to-day will be responsible for the early appearance in the Hamilton Magistrate's Court of a list of drivers who up to the time they were accosted by the Inspector, had failed in the very necessary duty of renewing their annual driver's license. An interesting scene was enacted as the Traffic Inspector and his assistant, conducted the "hold up." At times a long line of traffic was held up through some defaulter, in a vain endeavour to find his license, fervently fumbling in his pockets. Numerous excuses were offered, the common one being a change of clothing. The folk from the country were the worst offenders in this direction, having in numerable cases left their license, at home. Little unpleasantness marred the work of the Traffic Inspectors, and in practically every case motorists submitted goodnaturedly to the slight delay. Out of the many hundreds of motorists stopped fully 60 failed to produce the required license.
