MR COOLIDGE’S REQUEST. NO FURTHER USE OF HIS NAME. WASHINGTON, April 21. The President, Mr Coolidgc, has requested that the further use of his name as a possible candidate for the Presidency shall he stopped. He says the efforts to press his candidature in New York, Massachusetts, and elsewhere are most embarrassing. , The movement in Massachusetts particularly would tend to compromise him. This action by the President, is regarded as an effort, to discourage further activity on his behalf, although he fit cl not, say he would refuse nomination if it were offered.
