FAREWELL AT MATAMATA.

PRESENTATION TO MISS CLELAND. | Miss Nancy Cleland, who is leaving Matamata to join her parents at Wanganui, was accorded a complimentary, social by members iof the Tennis CluW and other friends. In handing Miss Cleland a travelling bag as a parting gift, Mr L. Flower, expressed regret that circumstances should have arisen necessitating Miss Cleland's ' departure. Her many friends wished her prosperity and happiness in the future. Miss Cleland responded with a neat speech, thanking those present for their gift and kindly wishes. Mr G. Fitzgerald carried out the duties of M.C. and excellent music was provided by the members of the Orchestral Society.
