THE DAIRYING INDUSTRY

IN MATAMATA DISTICT. INCREASE IN MILK SUPPLY. (Special to Times.) MATAMATA, Friday. Farmers are reporting an increase in the milk supply, as much as TOOlbs rise having laken place in a herd of 70 cows. The conditions for growth have been exceptional foe this time of year, and it is quite probable that those who have, stuck to the twice-a-day milking throughout the dry spell will extend their season as long as usual.

Some months ago a short season was predicted, but anyone seeing the country now eOuld hardly believe that such a transformation could take place. The. warmth of the ground and the moisture combined have resulted in exceptional growth. If early frosts do not occur there wait he plenty of milk going Lo the factory for awhile yet.
