Won by three-quarters of a length, with half a length between second and third. Time, 1.14. THE MATAMATA CLUB. EXTRA DAY’S RACING SOUGHT. (Special to Times.) MATAMATA, Friday. At a meeting of the executive committee of the Malamata Racing Cluh Mr G. G. Hell presided. The Department of Internal affairs notified the club, in reply to an application for an additional one-day totalisator permit, that all such applications for 1928-29 had to be made in the first-instance to the New Zealand Racing Conference. The chairman moved that an application lie made for a two days’ permit and that the whole circumstances of the local cluh be pointed out, including the absorption of the Tirau Racing Club. It was agreed that if a second permit was granted, the date of the first meeting might have to be altered from New Year’s Day. The balance-sheet of the last race meeting disclosed a profit of £958 14s sd.
