SECOND DAY’S RESULTS.

For the second day of Ihe Wanganui Trotting Club’s Meeting the weather was ideal and the attendance as a result a large one. The track was in excellent order. Following are the results: — IMPROVERS’ HANDICAP, l i miles. 5 WELCOME PEARL, limit 1 3 GREAT BALLIN, limit 2 4 MURIEL THORPE, limit 3 Also started: Lady Jewel, Don Wildman, Tawa King, Louie Dillon, Musical, Loyalty, Indicator, limit, Electric Gold, 24yds; Iluia Maid, 60; Warplane, 120. AVon by two lengthy with four lengths between second and third. Time, 3.35 3-5. BOROUGH HANDICAP, li miles; 1 NELSON’S REQUEST, limit ... 1 3 LADY ENA, 108yds 2 4 CARBERLEY, limit 3 Also started: Octachord, La Campionc, May Reta, limit. Won by four lengths, with half a length between second and third. Time, 4.2 2-5. SUBURBAN HANDICAP, li miles. 1 ELIZABETH, 12yds 1 6 LADY ZOE, limit 2 6 NELLIE PARSONS, 96yds 3 Also started: Little Huia, Great Ratlin, limit; Richmond Lass, 24yds; Hilltop, 36; Fliton, 60. Won by a length, with half a length between second and third. Time, 3.34 3-5.
TRAINING AT ELLERSLIE. THIS MORNING’S i i (By Telegraph—Special to Times.) AUCKLAND, Saturday. The weather was line for training on the Ellerslie track to-day. Work was mostly done on the course proper outside three trestles from the rails. Salamander was the,first to work, running six furlongs in 1.25, doing it well.
Gold Money and King Emerald spnnted five furlongs along the back in 1.5 4-5.
The Fox took 1.21 3-5 for six furlongs. Parfait Armour ran a similar distance in 1.22 1-5.
Scot Free traversed seven furlongs in 1.37 2-5, going nicely. Archibald compassed a round in 2.11 3-5. Sea Money and Jollie Money sprinted three furlongs in 41s, and Bulolo six furlongs in 1.23 3-5. Princess Ronnie went exceptionally •well over six furlongs in 1.19 2-5. Good Boy registered 56 l-5s in a run home from the IJ-milc peg. Cynthia N. doing it in 57 3-ss. There will be a good deal more training on Tuesday, when the horses return from Whangarei, and Thursday, when the southern candidates for the Auckland Easter meeting reach Ellerslie.
