The. results in the latest games played in the schools cricket competition are as follows: —Southwell, 49 for seven (McCorkindalc 27 not out, Picken 10; : defeated East, 40 (Wallace 22. For Southwell McCorkindalc took G for twenty, and for East, Wallace took 3 for eleven. Southwell, 48 for five (McCorkindalc 18 not oul, Waymoutn 1G), defeated West, 43 (Dyinock 15, Clough 11). For Southwell McCorkindalc took G for eighteen. Frankfon 50 fur six (Walker 15, Evans 13), defeated West 49 (Woolford 15 not out). ' Franklon 5G (Hail. 29, Evans 15), defeated Whitiora 2G (Gibson 10 not out). For Franklon, Hall took 4 for eighteen; Walker, G for four. For Whitiora, Orr took 6 for twenty.
Whitiora 87 (Gibson 22, Everest 14, Paterson 10, Nolan 10), defeated Maris! 14. For Whitiora, Orr took 7 for two; Everest took 3 for eleven). For Marist (Dcmpscy took 5 for twenty-nine; Glen took 1 for nil.
In this set of matches the bowlers held the upper hand, notably Orr (Whitiora), with 7 for two and Walker (Frankton), with G for four. The best score has come from the bat of Hall (Frankton). a twenty-nine. The only match remaining is the East-Frankton fixture, to be played on Monday.
