SEVERE ’QUAKE.
VANCOUVER SHAKEN. TWO TIDAL WAVES. OTTAWA. Feb. 9. Vancouver Island was shaken by an earthquake at 4 a.m. to-day. The shock was accompanied by a rumble which awakened thousands of people. The earthquake was most severe at the Bamfield cable station, where fishermen reported that two tidal waves had been caused.
