ALLEGED FORGERY.

CHARGES AGAINST CARPENTER (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WKLLINCTON, Friday. The forging of a £4O money order felegram in the name of James Butt was alleged against Leslie Ward, a carpenter, aged 24, in the Magistrate’s Court to-day. Ju asking for a remand the chief detective said the olTence look place in 1923. Three other charges, involving a total of over £IOO, would also he preferred. Ward had gone to England after Hie alleged offences, and married there. A remand was granted, bail in £2OO being allowed.
