INCIPIENT FIRE.

SLIGHT DAMAGE DONE. CAUSED BY CANDLE. Through a naked candle coming into contact with bedding at a house in Grey Street, Hamilton East, at about 5.45 p.m. on Saturday, an incipient outbreak of Are occurred. It was suppressed by the Hamilton Fire Brigade before it had done much damage. The Are occurred "at the residence of Mr John Prickett, who was slightly burned on the arms.
