Before reaching the five furling post Mosaic took charge and showed the way across the top to Day Guard, Gala Dsy, Nippy, Delightment, Master Doon, Papatu, Royal Mint, Golden Krist, Pegaway and Lord Star. Mosaic turned into the straight from Day Guard, Nippy, Delightment, Gala Day, Master Doon and Royal Mint. The leader stalled off all challenges in the run home to win easily by three lengths from Day Guard, who beat Master Doon by 11 lengths. Nippy was fourth and then came Gala Day, Delightment, Papatu, Royal Mint, Golden Krist, Pegaway and Lord Star. Time, 2.8. THAMES VALLEY HANDICAP. (of £250; seven furlongs.)
