AN AGGRIEVED UNIONIST. SHOOTS AT THE SECRETARY. AND THEN COMMITS SUICIDE. (United Press Association). (Rec. October 29, 11.30 a.m.) PERTH, October 29. A sensational shooting accident occurred here when William McKenzie, secretary of the Timber Workers’ Union, was shot outside his office by Charles William Saunders, a member of the Union, who then blew out his own brains. McKenzie is not seriously wounded. It is alleged that Saunders was actuated by supposed grievances against the Union.
