BOWLING.

NGASUAWAKIA CLUB. The opening of the Is'garuawahia Bowling Club's green this year was the most successful function ever held by the club. The president, Mr R. M. MeFarlane, declared the green open, and Mrs Rogers rolled the first bowl. Nine rinks engaged in play. During the afternoon the former president, Mr Warburton, presented to the winners of the club fours the shield upon which their names were inscribed. Medals for the president’s pairs were presented to the winners, Mr MeFarlane and Mr Rimmcr.

Nearly 30 new members have enrolled.
