TINY TOT’S COLUMN.
FOR LITTLE' FOLK UNDER 10. TWICE. Twice one are two, And twice two are four, Say it over carefully At least once more. Twice two are four, And twice three are six, Say it over carefully Until it slicks. Twice three arc six, And twice four arc eight, Write it down on paper, pad, Or on your slate.
Twice four are eight, And twice five arc ten. Write it down on pencil Or with chalk or pen. Twice five are ten, And twice six are twelve, In the number garden You must delve, delve, delve. GOBLINS’ LANTERNS. It’s dark outside —but I can- sec, A big red glow beside the hill, The man who makes tlie horses shoes Goes hammer, hammer, hammer, still. And sparks fly out up in the air, And fall away into the night, But as they’re falling, one by one They vanish, suddenly, from sight. I think there’s Goblins in the wood Must pass aL night an catc-h each spark To put inside their lanterns when They’re kobblin’ homewards in the dark. Marion St. John Adcock.
