A NOTED PACER.

DEATH OF ECCENTRIC. FIRST FREE FOR ALL WINNER. The death has taken place at the •f arm of his owner, Mr R. T. Reid, of Hamilton of the grey gelding Eccentric, who was a familiar and successful pacer on the trotting tracks of the Dominion. Eccentric, who lived to 21 years, was bred in Dunedin, and was by George M. Patchcn from a thoroughbred mare by King Harold. He was the winner of the first Free for All at Christchurch i'JD'i, and gained other successes for Mr Reid at Dunedin, Ashburton, Christchurch and Auckland.
