WAIKATO’S NEXT GAME. at TE AWAMUTU ON SATURDAY. MATCH WITH KING COUNTRY. The Waikato Rugby representatives will play their second game of the season against King Country. This match will take place at ,Te Awamutu on Saturday afternoon. It should prove a close and interesting contest. HAMILTON RUGBY UNION. MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETS. A meeting ofimManagement Committee of the Hamilton Rugby Union took place-last night. Present : Messrs Chile (in the chair), Speight, Booth, R. Johnston, Veats, Hall and Cameron (Ngaruawabia), Clark, Whiting, Thompson (secretary). An apology foi absence was received from Mr Udy. Mr 11. Vause (Cambridge) notified his being unable to referee the Mor-rinsville-Hamilton Peace Cup match on August 13. . . The Thames Union wrote asking lor the original Peace Cup proposed date (Sept. 24) to be adhered to, owing to a prior engagement with Waihi on September 17. —-It was decided to reply that owing to a New Zealand Union trial match in which Waikato Union is concerned occurring on September 2 i, that Hamilton could not undertake a Peace Cup game on September 24, and that September 1.7 would have to he adhered to. - The Law v. Banks Football Committee wrote asking for the use of one of the union's grounds for their -annual match on the 18th inst. at 3 p.m., and requesting the use of No. 1 Rugby Park, subject to weather conditions and approval of a union official.—lt was agreed to give the use of a ground on the conditions specified. A deputation from the Marist Club waited on the union in reference to their being bracketed for the junior championship. A challenge for the., junior championship was also received from the Orini Club, winners of the C section competition. After the deputation had retired the committee discussed the matter, and came to a decision to request the Junior Advisory Board to regard the A, B and • C sections as having equal rights in the junior championship,and in view of match Law 9, to arrange a draw for. the semi-final and final accordingly. The semi-final of the junior championship is to take place on the 13th and the final on the 20th inst. It was resolved to play Cambridge at Cambridge on August G, permission having 'been obtained from the Waikato Union. Mr Whiting was appointed manager of the team. A request from the Morrinsville Union for a match for their junior reps on the 13th inst. was referred to the Junior Advisory Board for. consideration.

A request for a match at Huntly on the 20th inst. was. received, and it was decided to inform the Huntly Club that their second match for the Clark Cup would be played at Huntly. A complaint was received from the Huntly Club in reference to the Frankton team forfeiting to them without notice on the 30th ult., thus putting the Huntly Club to unnecessary expense.—lt was decided to write the Frankton Club pointing out the impropriety of their action', asking for an explanation, and pointing out the expense that Huntly had been put to in connection with the transport of their team to Hamilton. The Huntly Club is to he written to informing them that action is being taken in the matter.

Those inerested are; notified that Those interested are notified that August 31. It was decided to write to City and Old Boys’ Clubs congratulating them on being winners and runners-up respectively for the Sage Memorial Cup and to thank them for .the display given in the final of the championship. In connection with the Clark Cup, it was resolved that any junior player who is required to fill a vacancy occurring in his senior team through senior players being required for Peace Cup fixtures would not thereby lose his junior status. The Clarke Cup is to commence on the 13th inst. The draw resulted as follows: —City v. Old Boys; Frankton v. Huntly; Technical Old Bays v. Ngaruawabia'.

W. A. Currie was registered as a senior player for Huntly. Fixtures for Saturday, Gth inst.:— Representative game, Hamilton v. Cambridge, at Cambridge; Hamilton High School v. Auckland Grammar, No. 1 Rugby Park, 3 p.m.
