PERSONAL.

The Hon. G. J. Anderson, Minister of Mines, who paid visits to Thames and Huntly, was a passenger for Wellington by the Limited last evening.

Mr. Chas Ilodder, of Auckland, was in town to-day.

Mr. G. T. Edgar, assistant electrical engineer, Dunedin is leaving on a visit to America and England.

Dr Martin (Dunedin), Messrs P._H. Richards (Auckland), A. banning (Wellington), and J. S. Laing (Auck land), are at the Hamilton Hotel./

Among the guests at the Commercial Hotel are Miss R. Fitzpatrick, Miss D Lowe, Mrs M. Ebhctt, Messrs R. and F Ebbett (Hastings) and Misses Wilson and Mr D. Wilson (Auckland).

Rev. James Barr, Labour M.P. for Motherwell in the House of Commons, who had been visiting Hamilton, left for Palmerston North last night.

Mr. W. A. Leitch, late inspector of the Union Bank of Australia in New Zealand, has left for Melbourne, where he will take up an appointment as assistant general manager of the bank.

Mr. E. 0. McPherson, the eminent Canadian geologist, who for the past 12 months lias been prospecting in the oil-hearing locations of Morere, will, with Mrs. McPherson, leave for Canada shortly.

Messrs T. W. Rhodes (Thames), J. Linklater (Manawalu), A. M. Samuel (Ohiiiemiiri), and J. Horn (Wakatipu), members of Parliament, who had been attending ihe Jubilee Celebration at Thames, went South by the express from Frankton last evening.
