ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES
MOTOR COLLISION. NO ONE INJURED. The left front Wheel of a car driven by Mr R. J. McKenzie, farmer, of Tamahere, and the lamps of another car driven by Mr F. Birdling, milkmachine agent, Ilamillon, were smashed in a collision which occurred last night at the corner of Cambridge Road and Dey Street, Hamilton East. No one was injured.

Mark Gardner, single, aged about 21, employed as a litter at Mangahao, met with a tragic end last night. He was engaged in working in the neighbourhood of No. 3 dam when he came in contact with a live wire, and fell backwards into the dam below. Assistance was quickly forthcoming, and the body was recovered. Restorative methods were employed for five hours without avail, Gardner passing away at 2 o'clock this morning. The deceased came from England last September, and had been engaged at the works for the past six months. He has a brother, also at Mangahao, other members of the family being resident in th cOld Country, WELLINGTON, Monday.
An unknown man was picked up by a passing motorist on the llutt Road on Saturday night. The man was suffering from serious head injuries, and lies unconscious in the hospital. WELLINGTON, Sunday.
As the result of a collision between a motor-cycle and a taxi-cab in Willis Street this evening, Kenneth Archibald Dark and his son, Philip Leslie Dark, who were, riding on the cycle thrown heavily to the ground. Both mudaiojcd a fxacLuce of the leg.
