The best butterfat bulls have been used, and by heavily culling, the herd has been brought to a high producing standard, combining type with production. This year, under adverse conditions, without root crops or any other supplementary feed, 45 cows in the herd have averaged 340.81 b of fat, and 80 cowsT including 2-year-ola heifers, have averaged 304.111 b fat in 261 days, which is e<iual to 356.21 b fat in 300 days. The cows and heifers are in calf to two notable bulls —OWLET’S NEAT MAJESTY, a son of the imported bull Majesty’s Oxford Sultan, and the OwP* Victor Neathead cow, Owlet’s Neathead, a show cow with a semi-official record of 5401 b of butterfat; and to 4? TWYLISH CAPTAIN, a bull bred from the best butterfat strains, and from a . family noted for beauty. Records of individual cows will be given at tlui sale.
