The Canterbury League wrote issuing a challenge for the Northern Union Cup. It was decided to inform Canterbury that Auckland would play the game while on tour. Relative to the visit of an Australian team to New Zealand, Mr S. G. Ball, secretary-of the Australian Board of Control, advised that the Queensland members on the board had informed him that they were prepared to discuss the question of sending a team to the Dominion this season at the annual meeting of the board, which would be held about June 23.
An official notification from the English Rugby League stated that there was every probability of an English team visiting Australia in 1928. It was suggested that New Zealand should commuuicate with the Australian Board of Control relative to the proposed tour. It was resolved to play the North v. South Island match this season at Auckland.
The application of W. Dare, of Ngaruawahia, for reinstatement was approved.
