MIST DAY IN QUEENSLAND. SCENES OP ENTHUSIASM. (United Press Association.) .(Received April 13. 12.30 p.m.) BRISBANE, April 13Further scenes of enthusiasm .narked the last day of the Duke and Duchess of York’s visit to Queensland. The Duke received a number of immigrants and assured them they had a wonderful country. At a ceremony at the University, the degree of Doctor of Laws was conconferred upon the Duke.
Everywhere the, Duke, and Duchess havb hitherto visited in Australia the predominant colours of the decorations have been scarlet and gold, the belief being these colours belonged to the house of York. At a garden party in Brisbane the Duke asked the Mayor the meaning of the colours and asked if they were special Australian colours. On being told the reason for their predominance, the Duke said he had no special colours.
