ENJOYABLE EVENING.
AT FRANKTON. A most enjoyable evening was spent last Wednesday in the Frankton West Hall, when a large number of friends, including visitors from Wanganui, Orini, Gordonton and Bruntwood gathered to do honour to Miss Muriel Stewart and Mr S. Rogerson, who arc shortly to be married. The time was spent In games and dancing, enjoyable music being supplied by Mrs G. McKenzie, Mr Wilson and others, Messrs S. Clothier and S. Paget provided waltz and Highland Schottische music on the bagpipes, while a song by Miss G. Moon was much appreciated. After the singing of ‘‘For they are jolly goqd fellows,” the toast of the guests of the evening was honoured. Mr Jas, Paget, on behalf of those present and others, presented Miss Stewart and Mr Rogerson- with a dinner sendee and an afternoon tea set, wishing them the best of luck. Mr Rogerson suitably responded. A dainty supper was provided by Mrs J. Paget, and nothing was left wanting to give the guests a happy time. The singing of “Auld Lang Syne” in the early hours of the morning brought a very happy gathering to a close.
