Stevenson • . 3 ' After the running of the Junior Fours race, of which North Shore were adjudged the winners, with Hamilton second, Hamilton pro tested that they had been obstructed, stating that the North Shore crew had rowed a zig-zag course that prevented their passing. The protest was upheld, and the umpire reversed the judge’s decision, gi\ing Hamilton first place and North Shore second. MAIDEN DOUBLE SCULLS. One mile. St. George’s (D. 11. Hume str, K. D. Pulling strenuously, Hamilton had reduced the Waitemata advantage to a length by the time the Memorial Park was reached, find were pulling all out in a vain endeavour to further lessen the gap. The Waitemata four, however, now put forward a great effort, and finished very fresh with a lead of two and a half lengths.
