MAUNGATAUTARI.
A Jolly Dance. On Saturday evening last a most enjoyable dance was held in the Maungatautari Hall. It was a perfect night for dancing and there v/as a large crowd present. The floor was in splendid order; the music was supplied by Miss Strawbridge and Mr Mason (accordeon). A chocolate waltz was won by Miss M. Hicks and Mr J. Giles. A dainty supper was provided by the ladies, after wheih dancing was indulged in till midnight. Among those present were:—Mesdames Peake, rust brown embroidered maroeain; Cooper, green brocaded satin; Seenev, black silk poplin; Misses ,T. Strawbridge, black velvet with gold trimmings; G. Hay, red fugi silk; 'F. Strawbridge, green fugi silk; M. Giles (Monavale), red satin; L. Hay, pink satin with lace overdress; M. Hicks, pink silk; F. Gibbons (Monavale), green brocaded satin; Griffin, eau de nil crepe rayon; Vickers, brocaded cotton georgette; M. Vickers, white fugi The Weather. The weather the last few days has been real summerllkc, the heat being intense, but it has been a good chance for the hay-makers.
