ENTERTAINMENTS.

' BAND CONCERT TO-NIGHT. ..* ®»* • The programme of the concert to .j be given by the Hamilton City Band in the Town Hall to-night is very attractive. A noteworthy engagement is that of Miss Doris Gower, the young Te Aroha contralto, who performed with such brilliance at last Hamilton competitions. Other! upon the programme, Miss Beryl King, Mr A. H. Outtrim, Mr H. F. Saunders, Mr Robert Kiddey, Mr Roy Crompton, Mr Reid, and Mr M. K. Mara, require no introduction to the Hamilton public. THEATRE ROYAL. The William Fox super-special "Havoc" will be screened' for tha last time to-night. It is a mighty drama of war-dazed women, with, Madge Bellamy, George O'Brien, Margaret Livingston, Leslie Fenton, Wal- N ter McGrail and Eulalie Jensen. STRAND AND FRANKTON THEATRES Racing along at a dizzy rate of speed, with Monte Blue in the lead, "Red Hot Tyres," a Master picture, opened last night at the above theatres. This picturisation of the Gregory Rogers novel is one of the most entertaining comedies recently screened anti has thrills, laughs and romance gaily shaken together. "Bed Hot Tyres" is wholesomely exciting fun. The sup* porting programme is good. THE BIG FOUR TO-MORROW. "The Big Four," Messrs Frank Wignail. Charlie Perrin, Cliff O'Keefe, and Harry Grundon are all well known as individuals to Hamilton audiences. They are all artists with reputations, but," combined, they* make a male quartette such as has seldom been seen on the New Zealand stage. Without detracting one bit from the merit of their singing they are experts in the raising of laughter. The four are artists in comedy as well as artists in song, their work is all clean, neat, and infectiously funny. They commence their Hamilton season of three nights and a matinee on Friday next at the Theatre Royal. At the new Regent Theatre, Auckland, the audience was loth to let them go. It is hard to single out any one for special mention, but no one could help but be de T lighted with the work of Mr Grundon at the piano. He is an artist. Patrons will be wise to book their scats early*
