LIGHT AT POST OFFICE.
(To the Editor.) Sir,—The letter under the abov# head in your valued publication of 18th inst. has been read with interest. At 8.15 p.m. on the 17th inst., I ha<j business to do in the private box of the Chief Post o:hce, Hamilton, and noticed the lobby was well illuminated. Later on in the evening it was noticed that one of the bulbs had either fused or blown out, and this left part of the lobby in semi-darkness. It appears pettish for “Wake-up” to nish into print in connection with a matter like this, so as to belittle the officers of the Post Office, Hamilton, and it is a mean spirit, seeing that had he given a ring on the telephone to any of the controlling officers, the matter would have been rectified at once. Perhaps “Wake-up” will realise letters such as his do not assist .willing officers t« render the best service to the public. I regret to trespass so much on you? space, but, in justice to post officials, I thought a reply to his le*tso- - warranted. — I am, etc., v “AWAKE"'-
