+ : WARDEN GIVES DECISION. FAVOURS ORIGINAL LESSEES. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assp.j (Received Dec. 20, 11.30 a.m.) BRISBANE, Dec. 20. A wireless message from Bulolt states that the Warden gave a decision in the claim of the miners at Edit Creek. The Warden dismissed the claims, deciding in favour of the original leaseholders. There has been considerable trouble on the New Guinea goldfield concerning rour leases at Edie Creek. Applications were made for 21 other leases, surrounding and adjoining the four. After waiting months for official action, the Miners' Association decided to mark off the whole area inlo miners' right claims of 200 by 100 feet, and to ballot for them. After the ballot those who obtained the claims got to work, but an official radio message was received stating that the 21 claims had been refused and the four original leases granted. Consequently the men who had drawn the claims within the four leases were compelled to cease work under the risk, of a heavy fine or imprisonment.
