THE MINOR ASSOCIATION. A RECOMMENDATION.
WELLINGTON, Monday. A conference between the Management Committee of the Wellington Cricket Association and members of the Minor Associations competing in the Town v. Country match was productive of some progressive ideas for improving cricket in the country. Amongst the proposals pul forward was a request by T. G. Lowry, of Rawke's Bay, captain of the Country team, that the Minor Associations of Wellington be allowed to enter a team for the Plunket Shield competition. The idea was approved, and Mr C. G. Wilson, on behalf of the Wellington Association, not only promised to forward the request on to the New Zealand Cricket. Council, but promised to endeavour to arrange a match for the Minor Associations in the Wellington Association with the, South Australian learn this season.
