HAMILTON LICENSEE CHARGED. CASE DISMISSED. Before Mr Wyvern Wilson, S.M., at the Hamilton Court this afternoon, George Gillett, the licensee of tho Commercial Hotel, Hamilton (Mr N. Johnson), was charged wilh allowing liquor lo be supplied to Wilfred Edward Dobson, a youth apparently under the age of 21 years. Dobson, in fact, turned 20 years in October last, lie gave evidence as to purchase of the liquor and admitted in cross-examination that he had been in business for four years and was accustomed to pass his leisure hours "with friends well over the age of 21. Dobson was told to put on his hat and was then viewed by the Magistrate, who held that bo could not say, in view of the deceptive appearance of Dobson, that a reasonable man would say he was apparently under the age of 21. The information was dismissed, and two informations against the barmen .Cor supplying liquor were withdrawn.
