TE AWAMUTU v. KORAKONUI. At different times during bygone years Te .Awamulu has fielded a' fairly powerful cricket team, but latterly. until the present season; attempts to revive the game had not' met with much success. This summer, however, Tc Awamutu again has the promise of putting a strong eleven in the field. A forlnighl ago, a meeting was convened by Messrs C. W. Rickit and M." Barnett in the attempt to formal cricket club in To Awamulu, and the outcome of that meeting was the arranging of a match with Korakonui, which eventuated last Saturday, the result being a win for Tc Awamulu by four wickets in an inspiring contest. It was quickly made evident that there is much good cricketing talent available to uphold the reputation of Te Awamutu on the cricket field. A notahle feature of the occasion was the bounteous afternoon lea provided by Mesdamcs C. W. Rickit, M. Barrett, J. Philp, and Ashby. Following were the scores:— Korakonui. —First innings: L.
