The following barometer and thermometer readings, taken from 9 a.m. daily, and weather conditions are kindly supplied by Mr Jas. Bremner: Barometer. Saturday 29.95 Monday 29.70 Saturday .... 67 56 Sunday 67 50 Barometer, 29.70; a rising tendency is to bo expected. Indications arc that unsettled weather will continue, with occasional showers. Winds from west to north. Saturday was, unsettled; heavy rain amounting to 1.17 inches fell up to 9 o’clock on Sunday morning, and 0.17 inch up to 9 o’clock this morning, making the fall 1.34 inches for 48 hours. Winds were mostly west and north. Mean temperature, 58-5 degrees. The Weather Bureau wires for 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day:— Indications are for southerly winds, strong to gale, but decreasing, and veering by south to west. Expect changeable and showery weather. Barometer has a rising tendency.
