BAND CONTEST.
FIXED FOR FEBRUARY. .; . 35 BANDS ENTER. WELLINGTON, Saturday. The daves for the band contest in Wellington have been fixed for February 21 to 20. Mr Halliwell has been appointed judge. The Ipswich and Malvern Tramway Bands wrote that they could not come on account of the expense, but 35 bands have entered in the two grades, and there are 22 entries for the hymn test. , , The committee wished to have a grade for C"bands, but llio North Island Association refused to permit it.
