KEREONE HALL.
SOLDiERS' COMMITTEE,
Owing to the somewhat unsatisfactory financial position of the Keroone Hall there was some difficulty al. the annual meeting in appointing a cornin it lee.
-Mr B. Ramsey, who provided the site for the Hall and has done much to make it a success since it was 1 uilt, could not be persuade«l to continue the work. Mr u. Mclntyre, on behalf of the old committee, thanked Mr Hamsey lor his pasl service, and expressed Ihe regret of all al. losing his valuable assistance on Ihe. committee.
The following committee was elected:—Messrs .1. Mclntyre (chairman). B. Mclntyre (secretary), M. Me.'nlvro, If. McQueen, D. Rcid, W. Walls, sen., B. Cassidy, .i. Harnett and 11. Monro.
The r:OW committee decided lo appeal lo Hie residents to support Ihe hall and lo patronise Ihe various functions which would be held in il. It was decided lo have a dance shortly.
The financial position was fully discussed, and a "calf drive'' was suggested. Mr IT. MacQuoen and the secretary were appointed lo visit settlers and make the necessary arrangements.
