APPOINTMENT OF CURATOR.
APPLICATION FOR ANNULMENT
WIDOW DECLARED COMPETENT.
'Sydney Sun Cable.l (Received June 28, 10.330 a.m.) LONDON, June 27
Lady Houston, the widow of the late Sir R. P. Houston, the millionaire shipowner, whom four specialists receiitlv examined and declared mentally and physically fit, has petitioned the Jersey Court to annul the appointment of a curator of her late husband's large estate, pointing out that the specialists' report showed that her ill-health had culminated in an attack of jaundice accompanied by mental confusion which disappeared when the jaundice was cured.
The Court adjourned the application to enable the principal residents of the island to hear the medical evidence in accordance with Channel Islands law.
Lady Houston, on hearing the decision, collapsed, declaring that it was unfair, and alleging a conspiracy against her.
