PROSECUTION IN WELLINGTON. DETECTIVES HAVE GAME (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Saturday. In connection with the prosecution of Harold Perewac Bishop and Alfred Dawson for conducting a “Rolldown” the Magistrate, Mr Page, visited the premises and watched a contest between two players who were called by the defence yesterday and two detectives. Press representatives were admitted at the instigation of the Magistrate. After refusal by the two defendants in play with wooden balls the two experts won 15 and tied one game out of 2i with the detectives, who rolled wiih their heads averted, playing with billiard balls. The detectives and one press man under the same, conditions won G out of 2.8 games against three experts. In a game for all present a detective and another made the possible and a detective won the pav off. The magistrate staled lie would give a written decision next week.
