TECHNICAL EDUCATION
SPLENDID DISPLAY AT SHOW. THE HAMILTON INSTITUTION. Among the many wonderful exhibits at the Show one that must take pride of place is the display of articles made at the Hamilton Technical College. The wide range of goods, finished in a way that would do credit to Hie most skilled artisan, has been a source of more than usual interest. The exhibit vividly portrays what technical education is doing for the youth of this country, and gives some idea of Hie high-class work turned out at ttie Hamilton institution.
The display includes all manner of artificers’ tools, all of which were made in the college engineering workshop, and various other useful engineering appliances and articles of ironwork of everyday use. There arc also goods manufactured by budding carpenters and cabinetmakers, and working drawings prepared as if by a professional draughtsmen. The marquetry work taught the girls is also on exhibition, and this lias been the subject of unstinted praise from all quarters. Innumerable other articles manufactured by the girls are also to be seen.
