ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL.

SOUTH AUCKLAND COMMITTEE. | The Management Committee met on Tuesday evening last at Hamilton, Mr F. J. Can" presiding. Mr A. .1. Latimer advised that he required only three more players to form a furl her learn in Hamilton, and the secretary was instructed to assist in securing the additional men. The action of the secretary in advising the New Zealand Council that the S.A.F.A. was in favour of a North v. South match this season was approved. The N.Z.F.A. advised that South Auckland should fix a suitable date for the Brown Shield match against Poverty Bay at Hamilton, and it was resolved that June 19 should be offered to Poverty Bay. 1 The Lower Waikato sub-Association requested favourable consideration to the lifting of the suspensions on Botowaro Club players, which had varying periods of one to eighteen months to run. The Executive decided to recommend to the New Zealand Council the lifting of the suspension in the case of six players, and in the cases of three other players affected, that a reduction in the period still to go be made. The same sub-Association asked for a match between Hamilton Technical School and Huntly High School at Huntly on Saturday, and this matter was referred to Mr Horace Toombs to arrange. The secretary reported that Mr Lewis, Waihou, had inquired as to the possibilities of a Hamilton referee controlling the match, Waihou v. Thames, at Waihou next Saturday, and it was decided that should the controlling sub-Association desire the services of a Hamilton referee, Mr Geo Cox should officiate. The Lower Waikato sub-Associa-tion asked the South Auckland K.A. to recommend to the New Zealand Befcr*cs' Association that Mr ,)as Wallace,, of Huntly, bo granted the New Zealand Referees' Badge. It was decided to approach the Auckland Referees' Association to endeavour to allow Mr Wallace to go before their Board for examination for this badge, and to advise the New Zealand Referees' Association of the recommendation. Matches and officials were arranged for Saturday, .June :>, as follows: Y.M.C.A. v. Glen Massey, 1.20 p.m., referee, Mr C. Crabb. Wanderers v. United, 2.ia p.m., referee Mr Jas Baillie.
