EMPSON CUP COMPETITION.
The Empson Cup competition under the Waipa Hockey sub-Association, was advanced a further stage on Wednesday, when I'aterangi 5 heat Ramblers 2. C. Tarr (4) and It. Spiers scored for I'aterangi, and Civil (2) for Ramblers. Ramblers did not have the same combination, and seemed to have an off-day- Patcrangi well earned their victory. This match was played at Patcrangi. ,_ , At Albert Park, Waratah 6 beat United 3,. though it is only fair to say that two of United's best players were not able to play. Results were as follows at the end of the first round: —
